I am doing a workshop at the Summer Do and this is what I have been doing! The brief was to look for an indoor space you find interesting. I found the smallest room in the world. To get an idea, it is only about 400mm deep and about 1200mm wide. We were than taken to an storage area were we could choose what ever we wanted to use in our installation/conceptual art piece. Have a look and see what I found! Come to my stable

New Years Resolution #1 Yes, like everyone else who still bothers, I have made a New Years Resolution. I am going to be more talkative when it come to my art. Most artists I know hate to talk about their own art and I am not an exception to the rule. Of course there are artists who never seam to stop talking about their own wonderful, amazing and hyper intelligent art but those I wouldn't call my friends or even acquiesces. I shy away from them as if they have a disease I may catch. Of course I can chat along for hours regarding someone's art but I feel totally out of my depths when I have to refer to my own. So, to make it easier for me I decided I will start to write about it instead. This way I can think it through first and don't have to blabber like a retard. Once I have written a few things I may be able to say them out loud next time someone wants to know a bit more. To make a start I have finally started to redo my website. Here I have listed my latest body of work and all the way back to my first with a little explanation how this body came about. It would be lovely to get some feed back and suggestions how to make it better Feel free to drop me a line. My desk is in need of some in-commings as you can see! By the end of the week my new website will look like this in all it's glory. It will have the domain name you are accustomed to. www.joxart.co.nz Come for a visit ! |
