2009 'life as collage'
while experimenting with advertisement images I managed to 'stitch' them together seamlessly with acrylic paint. a fast/lazy version of telling a story with paint. life as collage so to speak. bad time management was the real reason behind this series. I had procrastinated for too long to produce a new body of work for my gallery in germany and my by-annual gxhibition in gurope was coming up too fast to. I left for germany with just 10 finished paintings (enough for my first exhibition) and created new works while exhibiting and traveling in europe. painting life during an exhibition was a novel way of making up time and an excellent way to connect with your audience. this series was done exclusively for my gallery in germany.
